What downturn?
I have been blessed so much by the Lord. My partners and I run a small product development company.
We ran out of money like so many others. Needless to say, I had to get a W-2 style McJob.
My still-set is information technology. Over 600,000 I.T. workers were layed off in Febuary alone!
That means the fish pond just got a whole lot smaller and the fish just much bigger. We are talking PHDs applying at Staples. [no joke]
After much prayer and cajoling by my wife, I went to "the Church". I have had some really bad experiences several other churches. Not this one! Praise God for ACC! These people care and are on top of the issues of our time.
"You shall know them by their love for one another." This has been shown to me time and time again from the staff. We all know how important is it to get help when it is needed. For many of us, there is a feeling of shame and failure for having to ask for help. Bill Meiter and his team are so good and not making me feel worse. If you are shy about getting help, don't be. They will be good to you. You may not get the answers you want, but the answers will be given in kindness and compassion.
After coming in and asking for help, Bill helped us out right away with some groceries and encouragement. He has been with us every step of the way.
Long story short, I found a McJob and am grateful for God's blessings and Bill's guiding.
P.S. I am still looking for my non-McJob.
